Senior DevOps Engineer (Backend Infrastructure)

Location: Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel; primarily office-based

Cybersecurity company developing the Cortex platform and cloud security solutions to protect digital environments.

What you will do

• Own the reliability, scalability, and operation of high-scale Cortex SaaS production environments on GCP.
• Design Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform for production and development environments.
• Build Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and automated remediation tools.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, QA, and leadership teams on platform architecture, efficiency, cost optimization, and technical standards.
• Manage shared backend platform components, databases, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Participate in on-call rotations, investigate distributed-system incidents, and lead customer-facing root-cause analyses.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering for high-scale production environments.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
• Solid Python skills and a software engineering mindset.
• Deep knowledge of Linux internals, troubleshooting, and system performance tuning.
• Ability to lead complex technical designs and cross-functional projects.

Nice to have

• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Go programming experience.
• Experience integrating AI into CI/CD, debugging, or architecture workflows.
• Cybersecurity experience or experience implementing cloud security tools.
