Senior Frontend Platform Engineer (React)

Location: Hybrid in Barcelona, Spain, with a minimum of two days per week in the Poblenou office on Mondays and Thursdays; candidates must be based in Barcelona or willing to relocate.

Salary: €62,722–€76,027 first-year salary range in the greater Barcelona area.

What you will do

• Solve complex technical problems across web React and React Native clients.
• Build and evolve cross-platform frontend tooling, reusable libraries, and design systems.
• Support the migration of hirify.global.com to Next.js and the React Native-first mobile development cycle.
• Define, communicate, and educate teams on frontend engineering standards.
• Set the technical roadmap and vision for the Client Platform team.
• Mentor engineers in Barcelona and represent Client Platform in broader engineering forums.

Requirements

• Senior-level engineering background with 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience with JavaScript frameworks, especially React, and component-driven design.
• Experience developing with React Native and working across multiple parts of the frontend stack.
• Experience building reusable frontend libraries and managing large-scale technology upgrades.
• Experience coaching junior developers, applying automated testing and code-quality practices, and using observability through monitoring and logging.
• Ability to work from the Barcelona office two days per week or relocate to Barcelona.

Nice to have

• Experience with Next.js, React Query, Expo, Webpack, Django, or SSR platforms.
• Experience using AI tools such as Claude in daily engineering workflows.
• Experience defining technical standards at an organizational level.
