Principal Research Scientist (Computer Science / Computational Physics)

Location: Remote; flexible schedule

What you will do

• Identify foundational open problems, theoretical limits, and simulation challenges with verifiable outcomes.
• Guide AI models through research tasks involving proofs, algorithms, numerical experiments, and high-performance simulations.
• Validate results through proof checking, computational reproduction, and formal methods.
• Evaluate the novelty, correctness, and significance of research against existing literature.
• Prepare research memos documenting findings, partial solutions, and AI model limitations.
• Recommend promising research directions and open problems for AI-assisted investigation.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of active research experience in computer science, mathematical physics, or computational physics.
• Strong record of scholarly contributions and publications in leading research venues, including recent work within the past year.
• Expertise in computational research methods, including simulation, numerical analysis, algorithm implementation, or high-performance computing.
• Ability to rigorously evaluate research results.
• Prior AI experience is not required.
