Senior Software Engineer, ML Platform

Location: Remote - United States

Base salary: $216,700–$303,400 USD per year, with potential equity and, depending on the position, commission.

What you will do

• Architect, implement, test, and operate foundational ML infrastructure for feeds ranking, content understanding, recommendations, advertising, and other machine learning systems.
• Build ML signal-governance tools that help machine learning engineers discover signals and understand their ownership, lineage, quality, usage, and lifecycle.
• Develop tools for assessing signal importance and supporting informed lifecycle decisions.
• Partner with machine learning engineers and cross-functional teams to define governance workflows and create reliable ways to explore and use signal metadata.
• Contribute to prediction logging and training data platforms, including batch and streaming pipelines processing petabyte-scale data.
• Drive complex projects from technical planning and design through implementation, testing, rollout, and ongoing operation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in the ML Platform domain.
• Experience with large-scale batch and streaming data processing.
• Experience building production-quality systems with testing, monitoring, observability, and reliability practices.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and data-intensive architectures.
• Strong customer focus, communication, collaboration, and experience delivering projects from requirements through production with cross-functional partners.
• Must be based in the United States for this remote role.
