Senior Manager, Delivery (AI)

Location: Australia, with flexibility to travel onsite to the Canberra hub location.

What you will do

• Lead, hire, coach, and grow a team of AI Deployment Engineers.
• Own staffing, delivery outcomes, roadmaps, success metrics, and adoption across a portfolio of customer implementations.
• Set standards for designing, deploying, and operating agentic AI systems, including prompts, evaluations, tool integrations, guardrails, orchestration, and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Review deployments for reliability, safety, auditability, cost, and latency in production customer environments.
• Serve as the senior technical relationship owner for customers and translate ambiguous business problems into practical agentic solutions.
• Coordinate engineering, data science, product, and customer success teams while feeding customer insights back into product development.

Requirements

• 8+ years of customer-facing technical delivery experience, including 2+ years leading engineers or technical delivery teams.
• Track record of building and growing high-performing technical teams that deliver complex work for external stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience building or deploying agentic AI systems, including LLM-powered agents, tool and function calling, retrieval-augmented generation, or multi-agent orchestration.
• Working proficiency in Python or a comparable language, with comfort using SQL, REST APIs, Swagger/OpenAPI, Git-based workflows, and cloud-hosted systems.
• Experience with prompt engineering, agent evaluation, AI-assisted coding tools, and agent frameworks or protocols such as MCP and LangChain.
• Understanding of data pipelines, data modeling, and ML systems, with strong communication, coordination, prioritization, and technical judgment.

Nice to have

• Experience with global trade, supply chain, customs, or trade compliance.
• Experience scaling delivery, professional services, or forward-deployed engineering teams.
• Background in enterprise software implementation at scale or formal product management experience.
