Senior Engineer, Custodian Data (Fintech)

Location: New York, NY; must be work-authorized in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Salary: $168,000–$210,000 typical starting range for the San Francisco Bay Area or NYC Metro Area.

What you will do

• Build and maintain cloud-native applications using AWS-based services.
• Design, develop, and support scalable APIs, events, and distributed services.
• Develop data pipelines for data ingestion and enrichment.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements and design through testing and deployment.
• Improve developer tooling, automation, observability, instrumentation, and performance monitoring.
• Provide production support, including L2/L3 support and on-call rotations, while collaborating with product, QA, and engineering teams.

Requirements

• Must be work-authorized in the United States without employer sponsorship.
• 5–7+ years of software engineering experience delivering enterprise-grade applications.
• Extensive experience with Java or Kotlin and cloud-native application development on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with API development or event-driven architecture and an understanding of high-availability and distributed systems.
• Experience with on-call rotations, L2/L3 support, observability, performance monitoring, production debugging, and automated testing.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with data pipelines, reconciliation systems, market data ingestion, or fintech applications.
• Experience with Docker, caching technologies, data modeling, or schema design.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies, React, and systems with significant performance or scale requirements.
• Experience with AWS services and infrastructure patterns.
