Senior Software Engineer - SDMF Team (Hybrid, ROU)

What you will do

• Design and develop performant cloud developer tools for data modeling, transformation, and code generation.
• Develop and maintain the semantic data modeling framework that supports cloud services, libraries, databases, and query services.
• Collaborate on semantic modeling, language and compiler design, developer toolchains, APIs, and cross-functional architecture.
• Own features from design through delivery and provide sustained support after release.
• Improve architecture, knowledge models, user experience, performance, and system stability.
• Mentor and learn from developers working with backend and data storage technologies.

Requirements

• Experience building data-model-driven declarative systems and domain-specific languages.
• Experience with schema design, type systems, data transformation pipelines, data-model verification, and developer tooling.
• Experience developing cloud-based or highly concurrent distributed systems.
• Production-quality programming experience with Go and Python, plus willingness to learn other languages.
• Strong computer science background in algorithms, graphs, computation theory, recursion, automata, and regular expressions.
• Experience with unit, integration, end-to-end, fuzzy, or property-based testing; comfortable working across multiple time zones.

Nice to have

• Experience with graph databases, semantics, ontologies, information architecture, or compiler implementation.
• Experience with code optimization, performance profiling, CLI tools, test automation, and testing frameworks.
• Experience integrating orchestration and testing systems with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar CI/CD environments.
• Familiarity with formal verification methods such as Alloy, TLA+, or Agda.
