Embedded Software Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Getafe Area, Madrid, Spain. Hybrid working model when possible; occasional national and international travel of around three days is required.

What you will do

• Develop embedded software across requirements, design, coding, verification, configuration, documentation, release, change management, and quality assurance support.
• Build high-integrity airborne real-time systems for connectivity, communications, and distributed networking products.
• Define software requirements and contribute to software design and architectural decisions.
• Lead the development of specific software projects and participate in project planning and scope definition.
• Collaborate with product and program managers, system engineers, product owners, and validation teams.
• Support timely delivery of high-quality software and promote innovation across the department.

Requirements

• Degree in software, IT, telecommunications, industrial engineering, or a related discipline.
• More than three years of professional experience in real-time or embedded software development.
• Expertise in defining software requirements and performing software verification.
• Expertise in C/C++ and/or Ada programming and low-level development.
• Fluent English and Spanish are required.
• Ability to take responsibility for design and architectural decisions.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of DO-178C and EFA software airworthiness certification standards.
• Awareness of cybersecurity concepts and Common Criteria accreditation processes.
• Experience with SysML, UML, GPS, AdaMulti, Eclipse, VectorCast, or AdaTest95.
• Ability to reconcile multiple perspectives across products, projects, and processes.
