Technical Staff Engineer - Information Security Systems (Cybersecurity)

Location: Boulder, Colorado, United States. Occasional travel to client sites in other states is required, typically for 3–5 days less than once per quarter. US citizenship is required, and candidates must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI Poly.

What you will do

• Engineer and integrate cybersecurity controls into virtualized platforms, shared storage, mission networks, and enterprise architectures.
• Translate NIST and CNSS security controls into secure technical designs and implementations.
• Troubleshoot Linux and Windows servers, workstations, Cisco switches, network devices, shared drives, and enterprise file systems.
• Implement continuous monitoring through vulnerability scanning, patch compliance checks, and SIEM log analysis.
• Conduct technical security assessments using Tenable, DISA STIGs, CSO Benchmarks, and NIST guidance.
• Correlate monitoring results, assess control effectiveness, prioritize risks, and lead remediation with system and network teams.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI Poly.
• US citizenship is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience with expertise in NIST RMF and related security standards.
• Experience supporting Linux and Windows servers and endpoints, Cisco network devices, and enterprise storage systems.
• Hands-on experience with Tenable/ACAS, Splunk/ELK, and HBSS/ESS.
