Mobile Engineer (React Native)

Location: Remote, associated with Madrid, Comunidad de Madrid, Spain

What you will do

• Develop and maintain the Keet Mobile peer-to-peer chat and calling app for iOS and Android.
• Build features for chat, voice and video calls, media sharing, device pairing, and identity backup.
• Integrate native capabilities including push notifications, camera, biometrics, and background tasks.
• Profile and optimize startup time, long chats, media handling, battery usage, and network performance on real devices.
• Write unit and end-to-end tests, support CI and crash reporting, and help keep releases stable.
• Collaborate with the P2P core, design, and product teams while reviewing code.

Requirements

• Significant experience with React Native, Redux, and Redux-Saga.
• High proficiency in JavaScript and ES6+.
• Experience with WebSockets and RESTful APIs.
• Experience working with remote teams and optimizing mobile or web applications.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Swift or Kotlin and familiarity with Xcode or Android Studio.
• Experience building applications with peer-to-peer frameworks.
