Incident Response Internship - Professional Services - Summer 2027 (Remote, UK) (Cybersecurity)

Location: Fully remote within the UK; interns should be within commuting distance of London, Reading, or Edinburgh for social events and team collaboration. No travel is required. Work is Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, during standard business hours.

What you will do

• Complete a structured incident response course covering the full response lifecycle.
• Develop practical skills in host forensics, cloud forensics, and large-scale log analysis.
• Learn consulting, project management, strategic consulting, and tabletop exercise techniques.
• Study introductory red teaming and adversary perspectives, including ransomware response.
• Work with the CrowdStrike Falcon platform and participate in an end-to-end mock engagement.

Requirements

• Be pursuing an undergraduate or integrated master's degree in cybersecurity, computer forensics, computer science, engineering, mathematics, information security, data science, or a related field.
• Be in the penultimate year of the programme and scheduled to graduate in summer 2028 or December 2027.
• Be eligible to work in the UK.
• Demonstrate experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, or business outcomes.
• Pass a full background check as a condition of employment.

Nice to have

• Command-line experience with Windows, Linux, or macOS.
• Familiarity with PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages.
• Knowledge of Windows forensic analysis methodology; Mac and Linux forensics knowledge is a plus.
• Experience analyzing large log sets with tools such as Splunk or ELK.
• Investigative mindset and interest in cybersecurity or incident response.
