Classified Cybersecurity/IT Internship (Summer 2027) (Cybersecurity)

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States; onsite required, with partial hybrid flexibility. U.S. citizenship is required.

Salary: $20.00–$45.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Support ISSOs, ISSEs, COMSEC, ISSMs, system administrators, and the classified enterprise team.
• Assist with lifecycle management, system recovery, change management, and security authorization activities.
• Maintain hardware and software baselines, system diagrams, security documentation, logs, and termination checklists.
• Support audits, continuous monitoring, vulnerability analysis, metrics gathering, and incident response.
• Use tools including STIG, SCAP, Splunk, Trellix, and Nessus to identify and document system security issues.
• Complete technical and security training, contribute to policy reviews, and develop automation scripts.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for a security clearance.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor's or master's degree program in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Computer Engineering, National Security Studies, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while adapting to changing risks and vulnerabilities.
• Commitment to confidentiality and handling classified information.
