Java Developer (Fintech)

Location: Worldwide; fully remote, office, and hybrid options are available.

Salary: EUR 980–2600 gross per month; final compensation depends on experience, location, and professional growth.

What you will do

• Develop, deliver, and support end-to-end banking backend workflows with Java.
• Trace customer transactions across backend services to analyze data flows, dependencies, and system behavior.
• Investigate and reproduce production incidents using application logs and database state.
• Identify root causes and implement, test, and safely deploy production fixes.
• Support secure banking and payment functionality, external integrations, and reliable transaction processing.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of commercial Java development experience.
• Hands-on experience in FinTech, banking, or payments, including production backend systems and banking workflows.
• Knowledge of Java 17+, Spring Boot 3, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, and Spring Security.
• Experience with REST APIs, SOAP, OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, Kafka or other messaging systems, PostgreSQL, SQL, and microservices.
• Experience with Docker, Git, Maven, CI/CD, unit and integration testing with JUnit 5 and Mockito; basic Kubernetes or OpenShift knowledge.
• Intermediate English or above is required.

Nice to have

• GraphQL, Resilience4j, mTLS, X.509 certificates, hexagonal architecture, Testcontainers, ELK, or Prometheus experience.
• Experience extending vendor-based banking platforms.
• Knowledge of Uzbek.
