Remote Support Specialist (BAS)

Location: Virtual, based in the United States; Grand Rapids, Michigan

Salary: $21.71–$65.12 per hour

What you will do

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and program customer Building Automation Systems remotely through Trane’s cloud-based connection.
• Communicate system status, findings, and recommendations to customers and prepare system reports.
• Support emergency calls and triage incoming controls-related issues.
• Provide controls support to field technicians during work at customer sites.
• Identify and implement Energy Conservation Methods and optimization opportunities in customer BAS environments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Typically 3–5 years of experience in HVAC or controls.
• Previous experience with DDC controls systems.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and handheld computers such as smartphones or iPads.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organization, computer skills, self-motivation, and ability to work independently in a remote team.

Nice to have

• Technical school or formal technical training.
• Network and IT knowledge.
