Network Security Engineer (OT/ICS)

Location: Cluj-Napoca, Romania; hybrid setup with 3 days in the office per week

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain secure network architectures across enterprise and site environments.
• Plan and execute network segmentation initiatives to reduce attack surface and improve security posture.
• Deploy, configure, and manage Palo Alto Networks firewalls and related security policies throughout their lifecycle.
• Monitor network security events and support incident response, threat remediation, and security control implementation.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity teams on security standards, global programs, and site implementations.
• Protect OT/ICS environments by creating technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, networking, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in network security engineering or network infrastructure security.
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls; Panorama experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of network segmentation, secure network design, cybersecurity fundamentals, routing, switching, VPN technologies, and network troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-82 or IEC 62443 security frameworks.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Romania; visa sponsorship and work authorization support are not provided.

Nice to have

• Experience with OT/ICS environments, manufacturing, energy, or critical infrastructure networks.
• Experience implementing IT-OT segmentation or site firewall rollouts.
• Palo Alto certifications, especially PCNSE, or security certifications such as Security+.
