Senior Cloud Security Engineer (Azure)

Location: Bulgaria or Romania; work from the European Union region and a valid work permit are required.

What you will do

• Assess and document the security posture of cloud-based SaaS, on-premises, and hybrid services.
• Organize penetration tests, code scanning, cloud infrastructure scanning, and pipeline security assessments.
• Identify security gaps, prioritize risks, and support remediation across product and development teams.
• Establish minimum security requirements and drive Security by Design across cloud and application environments.
• Define and improve security practices for Azure-based and hybrid environments.
• Integrate security controls and scanning into CI/CD processes while supporting the organizational security roadmap.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Cloud Security and Application Security, including Microsoft Azure and hybrid infrastructure.
• Understanding of AWS security services, cloud security architecture, Azure CAF, and Well-Architected Framework.
• Experience with vulnerability management, security assessments, threat modelling, risk assessment, and penetration testing coordination.
• Experience integrating security controls into CI/CD and DevSecOps processes, including Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and consulting skills.
• Fluent English at least B2 level, work from the European Union region, and a valid work permit are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with .NET environments, Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools, and container or Kubernetes security.
• Experience creating organizational security strategies or operating models.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, AZ-500, SC-100, or AWS Security Specialty.
