Applications Scientist (BioA)

Location: Charlotte, United States. This is an onsite role with approximately 25–50% travel to customer sites, hirify.global offices, and tradeshows.

What you will do

• Develop biological sample preparation workflows using hirify.global products for clinical, forensic, doping, and other analytical applications.
• Create application notes, white papers, blog content, and other scientific documentation for sales, marketing, and customer engagement.
• Provide application support, troubleshooting, product demonstrations, and technical training to customers and collaborators.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, customer service, R&D, and external scientific experts to align workflows and product strategies.
• Present technical content, lead training sessions and workshops, and represent hirify.global at scientific meetings and tradeshows.
• Share application-development insights and recommendations for new markets and application areas.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in chemistry, analytical chemistry, bioanalytical chemistry, or a related field; a Ph.D. is highly preferred.
• 3–5+ years of commercial experience analyzing compounds in biological fluids, including oligonucleotides, peptides, hormones, metabolites, lipids, and other biomolecules.
• Expertise in top-down and bottom-up proteomics, including intact protein characterization, protein identification, sequence mapping, and post-translational modification localization.
• Experience developing targeted quantitative LC-MS/MS methods on Thermo Orbitrap or comparable high-resolution platforms, including experimental design, sample preparation, optimization, and validation.
• Practical experience preparing samples from complex matrices such as biofluids, tissues, and food materials, with strong scientific rigor, data-quality awareness, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Charlotte and travel approximately 25–50%.
