Legal Editor (IP and Competition Law)

Location: Alphen aan den Rijn, Netherlands; hybrid schedule with 2 days per week in the office and approximately 8 office days per month.

What you will do

• Enrich digital legal content by analyzing case law, extracting metadata, normalizing data, and maintaining controlled-value dictionaries and taxonomies.
• Develop content-enrichment rules and coordinate vendors and subject matter experts to meet quality standards.
• Monitor developments in IP Law and Competition Law and create, edit, and update legal and social media content.
• Lead content-related Generative AI activities, including Q&A validation, quality checks, and prompt engineering.
• Collaborate with product development and content-processing teams to improve workflows, products, and functionalities.
• Maintain administrative systems and provide monthly reports to management.

Requirements

• Law degree or university degree in IP Law or Competition Law.
• Practical experience in IP Law and Competition Law, preferably in legal publishing or a similar industry.
• Advanced computer skills and working knowledge of AI.
• Fluent English required.
• Strong legal research, accuracy, communication, organization, problem-solving, and independent working skills.
• Familiarity with CMS platforms is beneficial.
