Payment Product Manager (Fiat)

Location: Hong Kong or Singapore. Remote-first, work-from-home arrangement; availability may vary depending on the role and team.

What you will do

• Own the product design and iteration of payment middleware, order management, and clearing systems for Europe and Latin America.
• Drive the roadmap and execution of the global fiat payment platform, with a focus on backend capabilities.
• Design order lifecycle management, including creation, status transitions, timeout handling, and reconciliation.
• Design clearing and settlement systems covering T+0/T+1 models, multi-currency reconciliation, error handling, and fund verification.
• Define integration strategies for PSPs, bank rails, and local payment methods while improving transaction success rates, latency, reliability, and failure handling.
• Partner with engineering, risk, compliance, finance, wallet, account, and growth infrastructure teams to deliver scalable payment capabilities.

Requirements

• 6–10+ years of product management experience, preferably in payments, fintech, or platform and infrastructure products.
• Strong experience with payment orchestration, transaction platforms, cashier systems, or backend payment systems.
• Deep understanding of payment lifecycles, routing, retries, success-rate optimization, and failure handling.
• Familiarity with backend system design and APIs, with the ability to work closely with engineering teams on architecture.
• Strong analytical and data-driven approach, including the use of metrics to guide product decisions.
• Experience managing complex cross-functional projects in global or multi-region environments, with strong ownership and independent execution.

Nice to have

• Experience with global payment methods, bank rails such as ACH, SEPA, FPS, PIX, and UPI, or large-scale PSP integrations.
• Understanding of settlement, reconciliation, ledger systems, fund-flow design, gross/net settlement models, T+N clearing cycles, and foreign-exchange processing.
• Experience with transaction platforms, wallet systems, or high-throughput, high-reliability backend systems.
• Exposure to Web3, cryptocurrency, or exchange products, or strong interest in the space.
