Operations Manager, Payments (Kazakhstan)

Location: Kazakhstan; remote-first, work-from-home arrangement

What you will do

• Set up, operate, and grow the local fiat business and related day-to-day operations.
• Localise payment products and support regulatory matters.
• Collect feedback from local users and communities and analyse competitors to improve the service offering.
• Build partnerships with banks, payment providers, fiat on-ramp providers, KYC vendors, blockchain communities, and industry associations.
• Develop and implement go-to-market, content, and promotion strategies to increase fiat volumes.
• Maintain relationships with regulators and financial institutions and lead local fiat growth and business development.

Requirements

• 5+ years of successful experience leading a business unit, business development, or business growth function in a blockchain or crypto company, financial institution, or bank.
• Deep understanding of local communities and the crypto space.
• Fluent Russian and English required.
• Strong work ethic, teamwork, problem-solving ability, and results-driven mindset.
• Passion for crypto and digital assets.

Nice to have

• Kazakh language proficiency.
