Product Security Specialist (Robotics)

What you will do

• Define and maintain product cybersecurity requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
• Promote Secure Development Lifecycle practices and integrate security-by-design into software, hardware, embedded, AI, cloud-connected, and robotics products.
• Perform threat modeling, attack surface and abuse case analysis, risk assessments, and security architecture reviews.
• Coordinate vulnerability assessments, security reviews, penetration testing, remediation tracking, and post-market monitoring.
• Contribute to SBOM processes, third-party component reviews, vulnerability handling, and product security documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, quality, safety, compliance, and technology teams on product assurance and regulatory activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field.
• At least 3 years of experience in Product Security, Application Security, Embedded Security, Security Engineering, IoT Security, Industrial Cybersecurity, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of Security-by-Design, SDLC, threat modeling, product risk assessments, security architecture, secure coding, and common software vulnerabilities.
• Knowledge of connected devices, embedded systems, cyber-physical products, Linux security, system hardening, cloud-connected architectures, cryptography, authentication, authorization, and secure communications.
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10, OWASP ASVS, software supply-chain security, third-party component risk management, and vulnerability remediation.
• Professional proficiency in English and availability to travel nationally and internationally are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotics, autonomous systems, humanoid robotics, industrial automation, IoT, cyber-physical systems, embedded Linux, or secure firmware.
• Experience securing AI-enabled products and machine learning systems.
• Experience with SBOM generation, penetration testing, security validation, or DevSecOps.
• Familiarity with IEC 62443 and industrial cybersecurity principles.
• CSSLP, GDSA, GRID, Offensive Security, or equivalent certifications.
