Intermediate Kotlin Back-End Developer

Location: Fully remote, for candidates who live in Portugal or are legally qualified to live and work there

Salary: €25,470–€39,000 gross per year

What you will do

• Develop server-side applications using Kotlin.
• Design and implement distributed systems and microservices.
• Build and operate cloud-native solutions with AWS and Kubernetes.
• Work with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
• Use testing and observability tools to ensure reliable system performance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on client projects and solve technical problems.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience with a strong focus on Kotlin in server-side development.
• Hands-on experience with distributed systems, microservices, AWS, and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit and Testcontainers, and observability tools such as Grafana.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Must live in Portugal or be legally qualified to live and work there.
