Middle Automation QA Engineer (JS/TS)

Location: Minsk, Belarus, with onsite, remote, or hybrid work options; remote work is possible from any location. Working hours: 11:00–20:00 GMT+3.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and improve automated UI, API, and end-to-end tests using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Extend the existing test automation framework and improve coverage, stability, and maintainability.
• Analyze requirements, identify automation scenarios, and prepare test data.
• Investigate failed automated tests, troubleshoot root causes, and maintain reliable test suites.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with QA engineers, developers, Product Managers, and other project stakeholders while using AI tools to support testing and debugging.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of practical experience in test automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript or JavaScript and Playwright or another modern web automation framework.
• Experience with API testing, REST or SOAP web services, OpenAPI or Swagger, and Postman or similar tools.
• Understanding of test automation principles, framework structure, software testing methodologies, CI/CD, Git, and code review processes.
• Experience with end-to-end testing of web applications and independent analysis of automated test failures.
• English level: B2 or higher.

Nice to have

• Experience with WireMock or similar mocking tools.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or EKS.
• Experience with Bitbucket Pipelines and PHP-based applications.
• Experience testing microservice-based systems, complex integrations, and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
