Site / Operations Quality Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Solaro, Italy, with occasional travel to other John Crane service centres in Italy.

Salary: EUR 65,000–78,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead, support and develop Quality Engineers, Quality Inspectors and Welders.
• Set quality objectives, monitor KPIs and drive prevention and continuous improvement across the site.
• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001 and company policies.
• Plan and manage internal, external certification, customer and regulatory audits, including corrective actions.
• Oversee Inspection and Test Plans, Quality Control Plans, customer requirements, complaints and quality incidents.
• Lead root cause analysis, supplier quality activities and Lean/Six Sigma improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
• At least five years of relevant Quality Assurance and Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, ISO 9001, welding technologies, welding qualifications, NDE/NDT methods and material traceability.
• Understanding of ASME Section VIII, ASME Section IX, PED 2014/68/EU and ISO 3834 is preferred.
• Strong analytical, organisational, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with customers, management and external auditors.
• Native-level Italian and fluent English are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with pressure vessels, heat exchangers, process equipment or oil and gas equipment.
• Previous managerial experience or leadership potential.
• Experience with supplier quality management, Excel, Power BI and SAP.
• Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor certification.
