Team Lead Analytics

Location: Hybrid role based in Barcelona, Spain, with the ability to commute to the Barcelona or Frankfurt office a couple of times a week if needed. Up to 3 months per year can be worked from anywhere. Candidates currently based elsewhere may be open to relocating to Spain or Germany.

Salary: €65,000–€70,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead the Analytics vertical across analytics engineering, business analysis, and CRM data.
• Design, build, review, and maintain dbt models across a medallion architecture.
• Own the semantic layer and maintain reliable, optimized Looker models, explores, and views.
• Govern investor and leadership metrics to ensure accuracy, reconciliation, traceability, and reproducibility.
• Partner with business stakeholders and Data Engineering to translate requirements into models, reports, pipelines, and data contracts.
• Establish code reviews, dbt tests, CI/CD, data-quality monitoring, operational runbooks, and improvements to legacy models.

Requirements

• Several years of experience as an Analytics Engineer with strong data modeling, SQL, and modern data stack foundations.
• Hands-on experience with dbt models, transformation pipelines, testing, documentation, CI, Git workflows, dimensional modeling, semantic layers, and metric governance.
• Experience defining and governing business metrics and reporting, with a focus on accuracy, reconciliation, and traceability.
• Familiarity with CRM systems such as HubSpot or Salesforce and CRM-to-data-warehouse synchronization.
• Strong business acumen and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical audiences.
• Experience leading or mentoring a small data team while remaining hands-on with technical and design decisions.

Nice to have

• Experience with Looker, LookML, explores, and semantic-layer maintenance or a comparable self-service BI tool.
• Working knowledge of Python for analytics workflows.
• Investor or board reporting experience.
