Senior Manager, Deployed Engineering (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA or Remote (USA)

Base salary: $210,000–$305,000 per year, plus equity and bonus opportunities.

What you will do

• Lead technical delivery for large enterprise customer deployments from scoping through production, including single-tenant and government-cloud environments.
• Build production AI agents, integrations, and tools while solving complex problems involving regulated data and audit workflows.
• Advise CIOs, partners, and audit leaders on applying AI agents to professional work.
• Hire, coach, and grow a forward deployed engineering team while setting standards through hands-on work.
• Create deployment playbooks, tools, and metrics that improve time-to-value for enterprise customers.
• Work with Product and Engineering to turn customer deployment patterns into reusable platform features.

Requirements

• 5+ years of leadership experience in forward deployed, deployment, solutions, or customer engineering.
• Recent experience writing production software; this is a hands-on player-coach role, not a management-only position.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers and building teams at an early stage.
• Ability to work with senior enterprise stakeholders in regulated or complex environments.
• Strong judgment about customer-specific solutions versus reusable platform capabilities, including the ability to manage scope.
• Interest in applying AI agents to high-stakes professional work.

Nice to have

• Experience at a Big Four accounting firm or a major consulting firm.
• Knowledge of audit, accounting, risk, or compliance.
• Experience deploying LLM or agent-based systems in production.
