Machine Learning Engineer / Researcher (Cybersecurity)

Salary: USD 150,000–215,000 per year, plus bonus opportunity and equity.

What you will do

• Review and design data schemas and normalization methods for integrating third-party security data.
• Translate security detection use cases and requirements into data science and machine learning problems.
• Research and design machine learning algorithms for security detection, correlation, and investigation.
• Design and implement product features for security detection, correlation, and investigation.
• Create processes, tools, and metrics to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of released detections.

Requirements

• Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or a related field, focused on machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, or artificial intelligence.
• Professional experience as a Machine Learning Engineer, Research Scientist, or in a similar role.
• Experience with time series analysis, graph machine learning, natural language processing, or related machine learning areas.
• Experience with tools and frameworks for building machine learning applications.
• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical models, and deep neural networks.
• Strong Python engineering skills, including rapid proof-of-concept development and production-ready implementation.

Nice to have

• Experience with cybersecurity, detection and response, or threat hunting.
• Knowledge of security products and security data.
• Experience with Elastic Common Schema or Open Cybersecurity Schema Framework.
