Senior Data Engineer

Location: Remote within the United States; roles are open in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, New York, Salt Lake City, and San Diego.

Salary: $96,000–$140,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Translate client business goals into concrete data engineering solutions.
• Design systems, schemas, and data pipelines and provide technical guidance.
• Assess client portfolios, tools, and applications to identify suitable solutions.
• Manage priorities, communicate project status, and realign client expectations when scope or timelines change.
• Research independently, troubleshoot technical issues, and apply engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with peers and new hires to share knowledge and improve implementation quality.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• 3+ years of experience with programming fundamentals, modern development tools, Git, and debugging.
• Experience with scripting or compiled languages such as Python, Ruby, Java, Scala, or C++.
• 2+ years of experience with pipeline or ETL tools, including Airflow, Luigi, Informatica, SSIS, or Datastage.
• 2+ years of experience with DevOps tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes, or Docker and database systems such as BigQuery, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server, or Redshift.
• 2+ years of professional software and consulting experience, including client portfolio, tools, and application discovery.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS or GCP cloud environments.
• Experience with Unix-based operating systems.
• Experience working with DevOps teams and in agile environments.
