Performance Tester

Location: Remote within the United States, working in the EST time zone; Charlotte, NC

W-2 contract only; C2C and 1099 are not accepted. The contract is for two years with an opportunity for extension or conversion.

What you will do

• Design and execute performance tests for complex software solutions.
• Use JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling to assess application performance and scalability.
• Monitor systems with AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Test REST and SOAP APIs and integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze metrics, graphs, server logs, bottlenecks, and other performance issues.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, product owners, and technical leadership on cloud-native solutions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance and performance testing.
• Strong experience with performance and monitoring tools, including JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Git, REST/SOAP API testing, and basic database or server administration.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to interpret complex data, graphs, and server logs.
• Experience with ESRI or GIS is required as part of the role's technical scope.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; the broader lead engineering scope calls for 7–9 years of software development experience.
