Maintenance Engineer (Biotechnology)

Location: On-site in Muskegon, Michigan, United States; travel within the US and internationally may be required for up to 10% of the time.

What you will do

• Diagnose and lead repairs for mechanical, electrical, and software-related equipment issues.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance plans.
• Monitor equipment performance and lead maintenance improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Manage spare parts inventory and procurement strategies.
• Coordinate specialized repairs with contractors and vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or 10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with maintenance software and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work around equipment in a chemical manufacturing facility, including walking, standing, sitting, and navigating the site.

Nice to have

• Maintenance-related certifications, including CMMS or OSHA qualifications.
• Experience with vibration analysis and tribology.
• Experience in facilities operating under OSHA PSM.
• Experience in FDA-regulated or other regulated industries.
