Location: Sofia, Bulgaria
Salary: €31,200–€42,100 gross annually, excluding performance-based bonuses and restricted stock unit awards.

What you will do
- Develop and improve customer-facing features for a mature, business-critical enterprise platform.
- Design, implement, test, deploy, and operate software across the full development lifecycle.
- Build primarily Java backend services with supporting React and JavaScript UI functionality.
- Participate in architecture and code reviews, ensuring scalability, reliability, maintainability, observability, and test coverage.
- Monitor service health, analyze telemetry, investigate incidents, and drive root-cause remediation.
- Document features and fixes, collaborate with Product and UX, and mentor other engineers.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in Java, React, and JavaScript.
- 4+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong knowledge of software development practices, design patterns, testing, and code review.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with GitHub, JIRA, cloud technologies, and DevOps principles.
- Work location: Sofia, Bulgaria. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Nice to have
- Experience with AI-assisted software development tools.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP, CI/CD pipelines, and test automation frameworks.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and accessible solution development.
- Strong customer empathy and communication skills.
