Accounting Manager Consultant

Location: 3–5 days onsite in Chantilly, Virginia, United States

Pay rate: $80–$90 per hour

What you will do

• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of approximately 10 accounting professionals.
• Oversee daily accounting operations and coordinate timely completion of deliverables.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review internal financial statements, supporting schedules, management reports, and financial analyses.
• Act as the primary contact for accounting-related requests and communications across the organization.
• Monitor accounting processes, improve efficiency, and ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and month-end close processes.
• Experience preparing internal financial statements and management reports.
• Excellent communication, organization, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Availability for 3–5 days onsite in Chantilly, Virginia.
