Field Clinical Engineer (Implantable Medical Devices)

Location: Remote, USA; the role includes on-site support during implantation and follow-up procedures.

Base salary: $131,000.00–$175,250.00 annually.

What you will do

• Provide technical and clinical support during implantation and follow-up procedures involving Class III implantable medical devices.
• Troubleshoot device issues and provide immediate, clinically sound recommendations during procedures.
• Act as a subject matter expert on device functionality, clinical applications, therapy benefits, and procedural workflows.
• Deliver in-service training, workshops, and ongoing education for physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals.
• Collect clinical data and user feedback to support regulatory submissions, product development, post-market surveillance, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with R&D, Regulatory, Safety, and Commercial teams; document field interactions and support investigational device trials, product evaluations, and site initiation visits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, Life Sciences, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in a clinical or field support role for implantable medical devices.
• Demonstrated field support experience with intrathecal device use during clinical procedures.
• Experience working under clinical trial regulations, SOPs, and study protocols.
• Ability to work in compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, MDR, company policies, and applicable local regulations.

• Advanced degree such as an MS or PhD.
