Salary: $160,000 - $260,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Architect and develop scalable, latency-sensitive backend systems for Intercom products deployed globally
• Lead technical direction and project execution within a dynamic, startup-like team
• Collaborate cross-functionally with firmware, mobile, and frontend engineers to design simple and robust backend APIs
• Own backend systems end-to-end, driving product development from concept to completion
• Resolve complex problems that span beyond team boundaries with an ownership mentality

Requirements

• Must be willing and able to work onsite five days per week in the United States
• 7+ years of backend software engineering experience
• 2+ years experience at a rapidly growing startup or innovative company
• Expertise in Python or GoLang and relational databases (Postgres experience a plus)
• Experience designing scalable systems and latency-sensitive applications
• Ability to lead teams and drive technical direction
