Mechanical Design Engineer (Packaging Automation)

What you will do

• Design and specify bottle filling systems, fluid process systems, wash and sanitization systems, and fluid process supply skids.
• Design mechanical and structural components for fluid process system integration.
• Create and maintain P&IDs, 3D models, 2D drawings, and fluid component libraries for pumps, valves, sensors, and related equipment.
• Apply liquid food processing standards for clean-in-place and sterilization-in-place systems.
• Collaborate with controls, sales, customers, suppliers, technical writers, and manufacturing to develop practical, cost-effective designs.
• Assemble prototypes, perform engineering evaluations, investigate materials and processes, and provide field support when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline or equivalent preferred.
• At least 4 years of engineering experience; packaging industry experience is preferred.
• At least 4 years of experience with CIP/SIP systems and processes.
• Knowledge of fluid dynamics, flows, pumps, valves, chemical blending, and temperature management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, PC skills, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Basic working knowledge of SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD is preferred; a valid passport is also preferred.
