Python Team Lead (Integrations)

Location: Remote, Limassol

What you will do

• Lead and manage the Integration team.
• Own backend features and improvements from design through implementation, deployment, and production support.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python and Django.
• Build and maintain integrations with KYC providers, geolocation services, payment partners, and other third-party systems.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, unit tests, and integration tests for reliable integration flows.
• Support production issues and participate in on-call rotations.

Requirements

• Experience leading and managing a team of at least 3 engineers.
• At least 5 years of development experience, with Python as the primary language and strong API and system integration experience.
• Experience with third-party APIs, webhooks, callbacks, idempotency, and failure handling.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, concurrency, and the full software development lifecycle.
• Experience designing highly loaded and scalable systems.
• Experience with observability tools for monitoring and troubleshooting production integrations.

Nice to have

• Experience with payments and KYC integrations.
• Experience in early-stage startups and fast-paced engineering environments.
• Experience writing automated tests, measuring coverage, and defining test automation strategies.
• Experience with Datadog, CloudWatch, or Grafana.
• Experience in sports or betting industries.
