What you will do
- Edit engaging YouTube content across long-form videos and Shorts.
- Build compelling narratives with strong hooks, effective pacing, music, sound effects, graphics, and transitions.
- Repurpose long-form content into Shorts and other short-form social content.
- Collaborate with Producers, Directors, and creative teams to develop and refine content.
- Manage edits from initial assembly through final delivery while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
- Organise footage and assets, support finishing work, and improve post-production workflows.
Requirements
- Proven experience editing YouTube content, especially long-form videos and Shorts, supported by a portfolio or showreel.
- Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Strong understanding of YouTube storytelling, pacing, audience retention, and platform trends.
- Experience with multi-camera footage, audio, music, and graphics.
- Ability to manage multiple edits and tight deadlines with strong organisation and attention to detail.
- Confidence collaborating with creative teams, responding to feedback, and taking ownership of edits.
Nice to have
- Experience in a creative agency, production company, creator-led business, or digital content environment.
- Experience with Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, or other post-production tools.
- Interest in AI-powered editing tools and emerging post-production technology.
