Camera Operator

Location: 10 Fleet Place, London, United Kingdom; regular on-site work, international travel, weekends, shift work, and overtime may be required.

What you will do

• Operate cameras for live and pre-recorded news content across broadcast and digital platforms.
• Set up and manage lighting, audio, intercom, portable live-streaming, and related production equipment.
• Establish remote live feeds and intercom connections with the International Master Control Room and SatOps.
• Edit B-roll, packages, social cutdowns, and long-form content using Adobe Premiere, Mimir, and Signiant file transfers.
• Support studio gallery production, including lighting, microphones, sound mixing, and robotic camera systems.
• Cover local and international assignments, including major news events, while maintaining camera equipment and production standards.

Requirements

• Professional experience operating broadcast cameras or camcorders for live television news and outside broadcasts.
• Strong lighting, audio setup, file transfer, file format, technical troubleshooting, and basic video editing skills.
• Ability to produce content for multiple platforms and collaborate with reporters, producers, directors, and digital teams.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, transport heavy equipment, and perform under pressure.
• Experience with carnet procedures for international travel; valid passport and driver’s license required.
• Good written and spoken English required. Flexible availability for irregular hours, weekends, short-notice travel, and overseas assignments is required.

Nice to have

• Five or more years of experience at a leading business news organization.
• Experience with DSLR or mirrorless cameras, non-linear editing, and mobile live-streaming equipment such as LiveU.
• Hostile-environment filming experience or training.
