What you will do

• Investigate how cyber security engineering can be applied and improved in complex system environments.
• Analyse cyber security risks, dependencies, vulnerabilities, and lifecycle security for systems combining software, hardware, networks, and COTS technologies.
• Study security architectures, secure-by-design principles, governance, and compliance frameworks.
• Evaluate vulnerability management, SBOM and component traceability, monitoring, and automation tools.
• Conduct research, process modelling, architecture studies, tool evaluations, or proof-of-concept implementation.
• Develop recommendations and best practices, potentially including AI-assisted cyber security engineering methods.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Security, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Interest in security engineering, system architecture, risk analysis, software and system development, and emerging technologies.
• Analytical, curious, and motivated to solve complex technical challenges.
• Successful completion of security vetting is required; additional citizenship obligations may apply for roles requiring security clearance.
