Advanced Financial Analyst (Defense)

Location: Hybrid remote/onsite in Dahlgren, Virginia, United States

Salary: $95,000–$150,000 per year

What you will do

• Prepare funding documents using the DAI finance and accounting system.
• Maintain funding document logs and conduct financial execution record keeping and analysis.
• Reconcile DAI/1002 status, unliquidated obligations, and unmatched disbursements.
• Generate financial reports and complete DAR-Q reporting requirements.
• Conduct year-end closeout of expiring funds.
• Resolve DAI/PRIDE system errors and monitor help desk tickets.

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
• BA/BS in a related field with 10 years of experience, or MA/MS in a related field with 8 years of experience.
• Experience with business operations for complex weapon systems, including budget formulation, budget execution, cost analysis, cost estimating, earned value, financial systems, accounting, and foreign military sales.
• Proficiency with DoD finance and accounting systems.
• Ability to work independently, lead teams, provide daily supervision, and solve complex problems.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, customer service, multitasking, and time-management skills.

Nice to have

• Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Missile Defense Agency or DFAS experience.
• DAI or MS Access proficiency.
• CDFM certification.
• DAU BFM Level II Certification.
