Summer Intern (Engineering & Computer Science)

Location: Fairfax, Virginia, United States; on-site summer internship for approximately 40 hours per week over 8–10 weeks between June and August 2027.

Salary: $20.00–$25.00 per hour

• Support technical projects involving engineering design, systems analysis, software, hardware, testing, data collection, or documentation.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing an associate, bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree.
• Study engineering, computer science, information technology, data science, mathematics, physics, cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Be available for approximately 40 hours per week for 8–10 weeks between June and August.
• Demonstrate interest in engineering, technology, systems, or technical problem-solving.
• Have effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to have

• Coursework or project experience in electrical engineering, computer engineering, software development, systems engineering, cybersecurity, data analysis, or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with Python, C/C++, Java, MATLAB, CAD software, Git, Linux, or similar tools.
• Previous internship, co-op, research, laboratory, or hands-on project experience.
• Leadership, teamwork, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving experience.
• Participation in student organizations, technical competitions, community service, or extracurricular activities.
