Sr. Databricks Consultant - TS/SCI-FSP

Location: Fairfax, Virginia, United States; work in the Arlington, VA office. Ability to travel to customer sites as needed.

Salary: $175,000–$250,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines in Databricks.
• Optimize Databricks workflows and clusters for performance and cost efficiency.
• Integrate Databricks with AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud platforms.
• Implement data governance, security, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality datasets and insights.
• Troubleshoot data infrastructure issues and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI-FSP clearance required.
• Must be a US citizen under the contract.
• Production experience with Databricks and hands-on experience building and managing ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or SQL, Apache Spark, data modeling, data quality, and performance tuning.
• Experience with data lakehouse architecture, cloud data platforms, CI/CD, and Git.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Experience with Databricks machine learning pipelines, MLflow, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog.
• Knowledge of Kafka, Kinesis, Event Hubs, Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Experience with Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation, DevOps/MLOps, data security, and compliance frameworks.
• Consulting, customer-facing, project management, or Agile experience.
