Senior AI Agent Engineer (AI)

Salary: $200,000–$240,000 per year, plus 0.08%–0.18% equity

hirify.global is building an AI operating system for industrial supply chains, helping warehouses, manufacturers, logistics providers, and workers automate manual workflows and improve operational decision-making.

What you will do

• Build production agent systems on frontier LLMs, including tool use, sub-agents, retrieval, structured outputs, MCP servers, and orchestration.
• Embed with customers and operators to understand supply-chain workflows and turn operational insights into production agents.
• Own evaluation systems using real production traces, datasets, rubrics, graders, experiments, and regression detection.
• Architect the data, services, and APIs supporting the agent layer and integrate with customer WMS, TMS, and ERP environments.
• Create repeatable deployment patterns that accelerate customer rollouts.
• Partner with the CTO, product, and operations teams to take ideas from 0-to-1 through scaled deployment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 1+ year shipping LLM- or agent-based features into production.
• Strong Python and/or TypeScript/Node.js skills, with experience designing APIs, distributed systems, and PostgreSQL data models.
• Hands-on experience with production prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, orchestration patterns, and frontier model APIs.
• Experience building in fast-moving, ambiguous environments such as vertical AI, AI-agent, forward-deployed, or data-product companies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including customer workshops and technical design documentation.
• Must be based in New York City or San Francisco.

• Experience working closely with industrial operations, logistics providers, manufacturers, or supply-chain teams.
• Experience building customer-facing interfaces alongside backend services and agent infrastructure.
