Field Applications Engineer New College Grad- Master's/PhD (AI/ML)

Location: Santa Clara, CA, with other listed locations in Austin, TX, Gloucester, and Phoenix, AZ; customer-site work and approximately 10% travel required.

Salary: $86,500–$119,000 per year.

What you will do

• Identify complex customer-site problems and guide solutions through implementation.
• Create recipes and methodologies to optimize equipment and system performance.
• Qualify new technologies and features through beta-site evaluations, demonstrations, and customer activities.
• Design, develop, and improve AI/ML and data science approaches for diagnosing advanced equipment and high-value customer problems.
• Transfer new application capabilities from product divisions to customer application support teams.
• Collaborate with AI/ML and software developers, semiconductor and display equipment engineers, and process and integration engineers.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering, physics, statistics, AI/ML, or a related field.
• Ability to analyze technical problems, evaluate solutions, and explain complex information clearly.
• Willingness to work at customer sites and travel approximately 10% of the time.
• Experience or coursework in semiconductor or display R&D is preferred.
• GPA of 3.0 or above is preferred.
