Repair Technician

What you will do

• Overhaul and repair customer-owned Gimpel valves in the manufacturing shop.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, technical specifications, and job instructions to determine tools and repair requirements.
• Disassemble and assemble valves according to the specific condition and scope of each job.
• Perform dimensional and visual inspections, recording results in the required documentation.
• Conduct hydrostatic and functional valve tests when required.
• Prioritize daily work with the Leadman while maintaining safety and housekeeping standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or verifiable GED.
• At least two years of experience in a mechanical job field; valve experience is preferred.
• Strong proficiency with hand tools and pneumatic tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments, strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
