Senior Backend Engineer (API/Rust)

What you will do

• Develop Rust registry connectors, ingestion paths, normalization logic, and backend services that turn public sources into trusted company records.
• Design and ship command-line tools for data operations, debugging, imports, exports, and internal automation.
• Build retrieval pipelines that preserve evidence, URLs, documents, timestamps, and raw source context alongside structured outputs.
• Improve production reliability across PostgreSQL, Qdrant, AWS, Kubernetes, and supporting services.
• Own backend and systems changes from problem definition through production behavior, collaborating across APIs, databases, infrastructure, and integrations.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of Rust or C++ and experience writing typed, reliable backend code.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining reliable, horizontally scalable distributed systems.
• Knowledge of observability, incident response, and reliability best practices.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or comparable relational databases such as MySQL or MariaDB.
• Fluency with Linux, shell workflows, logs, tests, reproducible commands, and CLI-oriented development.
• Ability to work across services, APIs, database queries, ingestion jobs, infrastructure, and integrations with strong attention to traceability and data quality.
