Security Engineer (Cloud Security)

Location: Remote from Sydney, NSW, Australia; responsible for AUS hours coverage

What you will do

• Fine-tune detection and response mechanisms.
• Review customer environments proactively to identify risks, exposed attack surfaces, and security improvements.
• Lead investigations into supply chain, API, malware, and runtime attack scenarios.
• Own complex and critical incidents escalated from Tier 1 and Tier 2, including live customer engagements.
• Collaborate with Security Analysts, Research, and Backend teams to improve detection quality.
• Develop playbooks, contribute to AI-driven detection models, and improve investigation and response efficiency.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in cloud security and emerging attack techniques.
• Experience conducting in-depth security investigations and handling critical incidents.
• Ability to provide clear, actionable security recommendations to customers during high-pressure conversations.
• Ability to independently own security coverage during AUS hours.
• Ability to collaborate with analysts, researchers, and engineers.
