Lead Robotics Engineer (AI)

Location: Irving, Texas, United States; onsite five days a week. Domestic relocation assistance is available. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $128,470–$208,770 per year

What you will do

• Design, build, test, and ship autonomy components across perception, planning, control, and learning.
• Take robotics software from prototypes through production deployment on real hardware and vehicles.
• Participate in test reviews, analysis, witnessing, and certification of robotics software.
• Contribute across the autonomy stack while providing depth in a specialty area.
• Work in small, outcome-owning engineering pods.

Requirements

• Typically 8+ years of related engineering experience.
• Strong robotics generalist skills with expertise in at least one area: AI, motion planning, perception, controls, or SLAM.
• Production-quality C++ and Python programming skills.
• Experience with ROS or similar frameworks in real robotics systems.
• Full-lifecycle product experience, including taking robotics products from idea to production.
• Experience with field robotics or autonomous vehicles, simulation, and on-vehicle deployment.

Nice to have

• Learning-based control or perception experience.
• Experience with foundation or VLA-style models.
• MLOps or training-infrastructure expertise.
