FinOps Analyst Cloud & AI

Location: Brasov, Romania; remote work is available in Romania.

What you will do

• Consolidate and validate cloud and AI cost, usage, contract, license, and operational data for reporting, forecasting, allocation, and decision-making.
• Maintain tagging, metadata, measurement dimensions, and allocation models across business units, products, applications, projects, environments, and owners.
• Analyze cloud and AI cost drivers, unit economics, consumption metrics, budgets, forecasts, TCO, commitments, and business cases.
• Identify anomalies, underutilized resources, inefficient service or model choices, and unused contractual benefits; coordinate optimization initiatives and track savings.
• Develop dashboards, recurring reports, alerts, policies, standards, and guardrails for IT, Finance, Controlling, Procurement, and management.
• Automate data collection, reporting, allocation, and optimization tracking while coordinating forecasting, budgeting, month-end processes, and anomaly reviews.

Requirements

• University degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, Controlling, or a comparable field; relevant vocational training with practical experience is also accepted.
• 1–4 years of experience in FinOps, cloud cost management, IT controlling, data analytics, cloud operations, or a comparable environment.
• Understanding of cloud and AI consumption-based cost models, including cost allocation, tagging, budgeting, forecasting, showback/chargeback, unit economics, TCO, reporting, or anomaly analysis.
• Initial hands-on experience with cloud cost management, BI/reporting, or data analytics tools; Power BI, SQL, APIs, and scripting are advantageous.
• Knowledge of AI cost drivers such as tokens, model calls, GPU usage, agents, and transactions, with strong analytical, structured, numerical, and communication skills.
• Very good English is required; German language skills are advantageous.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with FinOps principles or FinOps certification.
• Additional German language skills.
