Intermediate FinOps Analyst (Cloud)

Location: Remote or office-based in Bulgaria, Poland, or Romania

What you will do

• Monitor cloud spend, detect anomalies, investigate root causes, and recommend corrective actions across accounts and services.
• Identify and coordinate cost optimization initiatives, including rightsizing, reserved instances, savings plans, and idle resource removal.
• Build and maintain BI dashboards and reports for chargeback, showback, cost allocation, forecasting, and FinOps KPI tracking.
• Establish tagging governance and collaborate with Finance, Business, and data engineering teams to ensure accurate cost data.
• Document requirements, process flows, and reporting specifications while supporting ad hoc analysis.
• Prepare executive-ready PowerPoint presentations and support onboarding to Databricks and other cloud providers with cost estimates, sizing guidance, and tagging requirements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in FinOps, cloud cost management, or cloud analytics.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Budgets, and Cost and Usage Reports.
• Mandatory practical knowledge of Databricks usage patterns and cost management.
• Proficiency in SQL, advanced BI development, data modeling, and dashboard design.
• Experience with cost anomaly detection, root cause analysis, AWS services, multi-cloud environments, and usage-based chargeback models.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for technical and executive audiences.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with GCP cost management.
